Action research...

The work has finally started, after spending a lot of my time deciding on what to do for my action research. My topic of my action research is collaborative learning.  I am thinking of   introducing a different way of how I learners work in the class.  Learners will be asked to work together in small groups. 

During my initial stage of my action research, I have faced a few barriers, these include: vague research idea and lack of time.  Deciding on my idea was not easy. I kept changing from one idea to the other.

First data collection

I have observed my learners working in small group to complete a task. The activity went real;y well and learners seemed to enjoy working with each in groups. However I must admit that some learners seemed to dominate the group and those learners who are normally very quite did not contribute much. However, when I noticed this, I immediately, asked the learners to make sure everyone takes part in the activity.  This did made a difference, as all learners joined in and cooperated well. 


Data analysis

In last week's session, I had the opportunity to learn about analysing my research data. This was very helpful because now I am very confident about analysing my data.  The only issue I am having at the moment is managing my time well.
